Join Us

We are looking for a Chinese speaking guide to join our team in Kalix and become part of the Arctic experience. You will host and guide our Chinese-speaking guests, making sure they feel welcome from the moment they step on board the icebreaker. This is a seasonal full-time position starting in November 2026 and ending by the end of March 2027. The exact length of employment depends on the contract.

Responsibilities

  • Host and guide Chinese-speaking guests throughout their visit, making each cruise engaging and easy to follow
  • Run guided tours of ship and explain how the icebreaker and the ice floating activity work
  • Assist guests during the ice floating activity and keep everyone safe and comfortable
  • Take care of daily routine tasks that keep the cruise running smoothly
  • Assist with the sale and distribution of guest photos following the floating activity
  • Keep the atmosphere positive and welcoming for guests and crew alike

Requirements

  • Fluent Mandarin Chinese, with the confidence to host and guide guests in their own language
  • Good English to work and coordinate with an international team
  • Good physical strength and the ability to handle  work outdoors
  • An outgoing personality and genuine enjoyment of working with people
  • Strong teamwork and problem solving skills
